March 2016

There was no chance that we were going to put on any shows in January out of respect, we were not jumping on the band wagon and taking advantage of the sad loss of David. I personally would not have been capable of performing those songs so shortly after David’s passing, as you all know I have followed David since I was a young boy.

On the 8th January I was invited to Berlin to perform at Hansa studios where David recorded some of his Heroes album amongst other bits. It was to coincide with David’s birthday and the release of Blackstar. I met some lovely people there including Eduard Meyer who was the sound engineer at the time David recorded there. I also did an acoustic performance the next day at Café Nueus Ufer, a place just below where David lived which David, Iggy and Tony Visconti  frequented. This place has since become a shrine for David. There are plans for me to return there at the end of October this year, I will keep you all informed.

A couple of  shows we have recently played had a fantastic turnout, firstly The Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield and then the Citadel in St Helens, where the audience of over 300 almost blew the roof off.

Last weekend we played a couple of nights, for the first time, in Guernsey at the Doghouse which were really well attended. The audiences on both nights were great. We have just been informed that we have been asked to return for the 2 nights to the Doghouse in August 2017 and this time also to play a 3rd show on the balcony at the Cobo Hotel. The Cobo one sounds amazing as apparently the road is closed off and the audience numbers thousands. WOW!!

We have been very fortunate to have been invited to play some great festival shows during 2016, we will even be  headlining a couple of them. Please check our gig page regularly for details of all confirmed gigs. On confirmation there will be notification of yet more shows currently under discussion. I bid you all a fond adieu!
