Bits and pieces May 2015

I’m really pleased to say we have had some well attended shows over the last 3 months.

Great to return back to the Cliffs Pavilion Maritime room in Southend, Stamford Corn Exchange, The Square in Harlow and Newmarket Memorial Hall.

Also lovely to be back at the Derby Bowie convention in May and meeting many great fans of David. I also played an acoustic set there on the following day with Franco and Carl supporting me.

I really enjoy performing a few solo numbers and don’t get the chance to do it apart from the odd number at a show

So we played a 50 min set of various songs including a couple of my own compositions. Also nice to perform “Billy Porter” by Mick Ronson, which I had not done for quite some time.

Nice to meet Clifford Slapper, the author of “Bowie’s Piano Man” who signed copies of the book there, which I have not finished reading yet. This is about the life of Mike Garson’s musical journey. I do highly recommend it.

We are still aiming to gets to different areas of the Country which we have not been to yet, with some new shows already planned for 2016, plus more shows to come from Oct to Dec this year . Details of  more 2015 shows will be added to the gig list when confirmed
