May 2017

Once again a return to the Cliffs Pavilion Maritime rooms in Southend was a great night for us, really mixing the set up with a few surprise numbers thrown in including a cover of “Round and Round” as a tribute to the late Chuck Berry. David recorded this in 1972 during the Ziggy sessions and ended up as the b-side to “Drive In Saturday”

Last week was all go for me playing a solo show at Tribfest in Bahrain in front of 3.5 thousand people. It had been 33 degrees during the day but had dropped a bit by the time I got on stage, which I was quite pleased about. This is the second time I have had the privilege of playing this festival and met some wonderful artists sharing the event with me. By the time I landed in Birmingham on the Saturday, I was then heading straight up to Tynemouth to headline the Fakefest with Aladdinsane later that night.

This is the second Fakefest we have done so far with more coming up this year around the Country. Again an audience in excess of 3000 who were fantastic from beginning to end. The audience gave us a fantastic response on every number.

Although we have quite a few shows lined up this year already, there are still more shows to be confirmed for later this year as well as booking for 2018.

Next stop is the Bowie Convention in Hull. We have had the privilege of headlining this event 3 times now and looking forward to seeing many familiar faces in the audience.

More news to follow later, Paul x
